How long have you been working for Dobas AG?

Since the beginning of August 2024.

Where did your professional journey take you prior to your current position?

I earned my Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training as a Certified Draftsperson specialised in Architecture, and then did a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate in Design and Art. After that, I worked for several months as a draftsperson before I decided to study Interior Architecture and earned a Bachelor of Arts in the field.

What are the main tasks that make up your daily work routine?

I’m on the drafting team. I draft and draw up designs together with our project managers.

How do you stay informed and, more importantly, inspired?

I enjoy reading interior architecture and design magazines and doing research on the internet. I also really enjoy traveling and learning about other building styles and techniques.

What materials make your senses tingle?

Wood – it is a very versatile material, both in interiors and furniture production. I’m especially impressed by the way wood manages to create different atmospheres – both in new and old constructions.

What should not be missing from your workplace?

I always need my notebook because I like to write down all my thoughts and relevant information. A bottle of water is also indispensable.

What building and/or space has left a particularly lasting impression on you and why?

I was on a study trip in London where we had a chance to visit numerous buildings and interior spaces. All the different buildings from all the different many eras give the city a special energy. My trip showed me that you can do almost anything when you plan well and that is what I find so exciting about our job.

What fills you with joy and pride in your professional life?

I find working together on different project teams to be particularly exciting. Plus it is very nice to see the final result of a project after a long planning and implementation process.

What brings you joy in your personal life?

I really enjoy spending time with family and friends. Traveling to and discovering different countries and cultures also makes me very happy.
