What are the main tasks that make up your daily work routine?

I am responsible for project and implementation planning. Which means that I have to put the interior architects’ initial ideas on paper, work out detailed technical solutions and make construction site plans for local contractors over the course of the project. Another challenging task is ordering all the different materials. I keep track of incoming deliveries to make sure that everything arrives at the construction site on time, supervising the project in this manner until the final handover to the client.

How would you describe your personal interior design style in three words?

Natural, warm, minimalist.

What has been the strongest influence on your perspective of design/interior architecture/architecture? Why?

My visit to the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona left a lasting impression. The gigantic pillars that «branch out» up into the ceiling make you feel like you’re standing in a forest. There are natural elements everywhere and the unique atmosphere created by the light make the basilica even more fascinating.

How do you relax after a long day at work?

I go for a ride on my road bike. Even though it’s a strenuous activity, while I’m on my bike, I can disconnect completely and leave the stresses of everyday life behind. For me, cycling is meditation in movement.

What makes a place a home for you?

I feel secure in my home. My furnishings play a key role in helping me feel relaxed. Whether through warm colours or dim lighting in the evening.
