Exhibition Stand Design for Swissbau Trade Fair

How do you lead people to your to your product and stand out from the sea of other stands at a trade fair? By building a stand that arouses curiosity. A fire-engine-red entrance area with purposefully low clearance was the first thing that caught the eye of Swissbau visitors.
After crossing through this tight entrance with its hard surfaces, a semi-transparent black cube unexpectedly opened up and its soft surfaces created a calming atmosphere – a successful contrast to the ostentatious entryway.
The versatility and aesthetic possibilities of Argolite products were revealed in the consultation area, which was shrouded in a pleasant semi-darkness. The set-up did an impressive job demonstrating just how different the surfaces and colours of the exhibits can be depending on the lighting.
The playful light columns made from laser-cut HPL were a big highlight of the stand’s design. Casting decorative light patterns on the floor and ceiling, they created a fascinating atmosphere in the space. Plus, inside each of the columns, there were View-Masters that visitors could look through to see specific usage examples of the respective products.
Overall, Argolite successfully presented the technical features and design possibilities of their HPL sheets in an informative and emotionally appealing way at Swissbau 2016. Our exhibition stand design won a German Design Award and an A’Design Silver Award.
